How to Transfer Templates Between Shopify Stores Using Theme Weaver

If you need to transfer templates, sections, or blocks between multiple Shopify stores, Theme Weaver makes the process simple. Follow these steps to set up and use Theme Weaver for seamless theme transfers.

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Install Theme Weaver: Install the Theme Weaver app on all Shopify stores you wish to connect. For example:
    • Store 1: admin.shopify.com/store/sizzle1
    • Store 2: admin.shopify.com/store/sizzle2
  2. Upgrade to Enterprise Plan: Ensure each store is upgraded to the Enterprise plan to enable theme transfers.

    Link Your Stores:

    • Click the gear icon within the app to reveal an access code unique to each store.
    • Below the access code, there are fields for "Enter Shop Name" and "Enter Access Code."
    • For Store 1, enter the shop handle (e.g., sizzle1 ) and the access code from Store 1.
    • Click "Add Store" to link them.
    • Repeat this process on the opposite store (Store 2). If you are connecting more than two stores, repeat these steps for each additional store.

      Verify:

    • Once the stores are linked, click "Add Theme" in the app.
    • Select the store you want to transfer the template to from the "Select Store" dropdown.
    • You store should show as an option to select

Troubleshooting:

  • If the access code does not work, double-check that you’ve copied it correctly and that both stores are on the Enterprise plan.
  • Ensure you’ve installed Theme Weaver on every store you intend to connect.
